Canada has pledged to accept 25.000 refugees from Syria. While we don't know where the majority of these families will land, we do know that some have already arrived in our schools across Ontario.
Below are some resources on how to support these students including some resources that were shared at our meeting.
Here's an article from the Toronto Star about the vital role of schools in welcoming Syrian refugees and the importance of being well prepared to meet their needs. This article refers to TDSB’s plans regarding the refugee situation.
